Green Garlic Hummus (GG Hummus)

Unfortunately, there are very few brands of hummus available for purchase that are made with olive oil rather than canola/vegetable oil so why not make your own, preservative free, green hummus!!

I hadn’t made this for soooo long but as I was going back to basics to give my gut a break, I wanted a preservative free, healthy and nutritious hummus to have for breakfast or snacks this week! Enjoy with pumpkin bread, rice cakes and carrot sticks ??

GREEN GARLIC HUMMUS

Ingredients:
• 1 tin of chickpeas, rinsed & drained
• 2 baby avocados or one extra large avocado
• 4 tbsp fresh lime juice
• 3 tbsp olive oil
• 3 tbsp tahini
• 1-2 tbsp crushed garlic (I use 2 and it’s very garlicky!)
• 1/2 tsp ground cumin
• Salt, pepper & chili to taste

Place everything in a food processor or blender until smooth! Easy peasy!
I created this recipe while I was healing SIBO, leaky gut and dysbiosis so it is completely gut friendly and stores really well for an easy desk breakfast or snack!
